CDC Prevention Research Center 30th Anniversary: Featuring the University of New Mexico PRC

This session will provide an overview of the CDC PRC program and feature the work of the University of New Mexico’s PRC. Professor Davis will provide an overview of the Village Interventions and Venues for Action (VIVA II) project. VIVA II is designed to study dissemination and implementation of multiple evidence-based strategies recommended by the CDC’s Guide to Community Preventive Services (Community Guide). Strategies include increasing physical activity, increasing drinking water consumption, healthy eating, and tobacco-free living in rural areas.
